Terms of Use
The agreement between you and FLIP when you play, and what each side owes the other.
Last updated 27 August 2026
Who these terms are between
FLIP is operated by Bidfins Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16640626). In these terms, "we" and "FLIP" mean Bidfins Limited, and "you" means the account holder.
These terms govern your use of FLIP: the mobile apps, the web app, and this site. By creating an account or entering a contest you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the service.
We may change these terms. Where a change affects your rights or your money, we will tell you before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page always shows when the text last changed. You can reach us any time at hello@flipmobilegames.com.
What FLIP is
FLIP is a platform for skill-based head-to-head games. Players compete against friends or against the public, either for fun or for a prize.
No game on FLIP may turn on chance. Every game is decided by what the players do, whether vocabulary, timing, deduction or board position, and never by a deal, a spin or a draw. This is a condition every game must satisfy before we add it, not a marketing line, and it is the reason FLIP is not a gambling service.
FLIP is not a casino, a betting service or a lottery. We do not offer games against the house. Where you play alone against a computer opponent, that is practice, it is always free, and no prize is attached to it.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to enter a paid contest. You must enter your account details truthfully, and you may hold only one account.
Paid skill contests are regulated differently in each place, and in some places they are not permitted at all. Paid contests are unavailable in the following US states:
- Arizona
- Arkansas
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- Louisiana
- Montana
- South Dakota
- Tennessee
- Washington
Where you are
Your region is determined from your connection. If you are travelling, it may differ from where you live, and paid contests may be unavailable to you while you are away.
Free play remains available everywhere on the list above. Removing the games entirely would give a player a reason to look for an unregulated alternative, which helps nobody.
Using a VPN or any other means to disguise where you are, in order to reach contests that are not offered in your region, is a breach of these terms.
Entry fees and prizes
Every player in a contest pays the same entry fee. FLIP retains 5% of the total (with a minimum of one coin, so the smallest contest still covers itself), and the rest is the winner’s prize. The prize is shown on the game before you enter, and it is calculated by the same code that pays it out.
You do not choose an entry fee or a table size. Each game runs one contest per economy, at a fee and a seat count we set. That is a deliberate choice: a catalogue offering many fees across many table sizes spreads its players thinly enough that most contests never fill.
If a contest cannot be completed, it is voided. Every entry fee is returned in full and nothing is retained. FLIP earns only from contests that actually happened.
Coins
FLIP runs two separate coin economies, and they cannot mix.
Cash coins are bought with money and can be withdrawn as money, at ten coins to the pound or dollar in both directions. Play coins are worth nothing: they enter free contests only, they can never be withdrawn, and they can never be turned into money.
The separation is enforced by our ledger rather than by a check somewhere in the app: a transaction whose two sides are in different currencies is rejected outright. Play coins cannot fund a paid contest, and a free contest cannot pay a cash prize.
You receive a play coin allowance each day. It resets rather than accumulating, so an unused allowance does not carry over.
Fair play
The server is the only authority on a match. It holds the state, validates every action, and sends each player only what they are entitled to see at that moment.
You may not use software to play on your behalf, share information with another player during a contest you are both in, deliberately lose a contest to move coins to another account, or exploit a defect rather than reporting it.
Where we find that a contest was not played honestly, we may void it and return the entry fees, withhold a prize, or suspend or close the account. Where we withhold a prize, we will tell you why.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used it.
You may close your account at any time. Any cash coin balance can be withdrawn first, subject to the identity checks described in our payments and refunds policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we are required to close, or that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently. A balance held in a closed account remains yours except where it is the proceeds of fraud.
Availability
We do not promise that the service will be available without interruption. Matches are settled from a ledger rather than from a running total, so an interruption during a contest results in that contest being voided and refunded rather than in a balance being lost.
We may add, change or withdraw games. Where a game is withdrawn, contests already in progress are allowed to finish.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, our liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the total entry fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for losses arising from your own breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of your own country.
